Kansas City Chicken Sliders

Ingredients:

Chicken:

  • 2 ½ pounds pulled roasted chicken
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/ 8 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Mix Ingredients together

BBQ Sauce:

  • 1 ¾ cups Sweet Baby Ray’s Hickory + Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce
  • 3 ½ tbsp Red Hot
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dried Minced Onion
  • ½ tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Stubb’s Hickory Liquid Smoke
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha Chili Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon Chili Powder
  • teaspoon Chili Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Smoked Paprika

Slider Toppings:

  • 9 Slider Potato Rolls
  • 10 sliced baby sour gherkins (or sliced dill pickles)
  • 1 ½ oz low fat cheddar freshly shredded
  • BBQ Sauce from above
  • Pulled Chicken from above

Directions:

  • Truss the chicken with the Turbo Trusser
  • Roast the chicken uncovered for 15 minutes at 475 degrees F
  • Lower heat to 350 and cook uncovered for approximately 20 minutes per pound
  • Cook until the internal temperature is at least 165 degrees F
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before removing the Turbo Trusser.
  • Pull apart your roasted chicken.
  • Mix in the garlic and onion powder.
  • Make the bbq sauce separately by mixing together all of the sauce ingredients.
  • Assemble your sliders, adding chicken mixture, bbq sauce and your preferred toppings.
  • Enjoy!
